Guest Terms of Service — voorwaarden voor gasten die Splitty gebruiken.

1. Introduction

Welcome to Splitty.

These Guest Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Splitty's guest-facing products and services, including QR-based payments, bill splitting, digital receipts, guest accounts, loyalty features, cashback programs, Tap to Pay functionality and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By scanning a Splitty QR code, creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you should not use the Services.

2. About Splitty

Splitty B.V. develops digital payment technology for restaurants and hospitality businesses. Splitty allows Guests to:

  • View restaurant bills
  • Split bills with others
  • Pay securely
  • Receive digital receipts
  • Create guest accounts
  • Save payment history
  • Collect loyalty rewards
  • Earn cashback
  • Leave reviews
  • Use future Splitty services

Splitty provides technology only. Splitty is not the seller of food or beverages.

The agreement for products and services purchased remains solely between the Guest and the Restaurant.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least sixteen (16) years of age, or the minimum legal age required in your jurisdiction, to create a Splitty account.

By using Splitty, you confirm that:

  • you have legal capacity;
  • the information you provide is accurate;
  • you will comply with these Terms.

4. Guest Account

Some Splitty Services require a Guest Account. When creating an account, you may be asked to provide:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Verification codes

You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your credentials confidential.

5. Verification

Splitty may require verification of:

  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number

Verification helps protect Guests, Restaurants and payment providers against fraud.

Splitty may suspend accounts that fail verification or where fraudulent activity is suspected.

6. QR Payments

Splitty enables Guests to initiate payments through QR codes provided by participating Restaurants. Guests remain responsible for verifying:

  • the Restaurant;
  • the table number;
  • the bill amount;
  • the selected payment.

Once a payment has been successfully completed, it may not always be reversible.

7. Split Payments

Splitty enables multiple Guests to divide a bill. Guests acknowledge that:

  • each participant remains responsible for paying their own selected amount;
  • Restaurants determine when a bill has been fully paid;
  • Splitty cannot force another Guest to complete payment.

Restaurants may require the remaining balance to be paid before Guests leave the premises.

8. Payment Processing

Payments made through Splitty are processed by certified third-party Payment Service Providers, including Stripe and Rootline.

Splitty does not store complete payment card information.

Payment processing is subject to the applicable Payment Service Provider's own terms and privacy policies.

9. Digital Receipts

Where supported, Splitty may provide digital receipts. Digital receipts are provided for convenience only.

Guests remain responsible for retaining receipts where required for accounting, reimbursement or tax purposes.

Splitty does not guarantee permanent availability of receipt history.
