Money & Costs

No monthly fees. You pay one-time setup costs (QR holders) and 1.2% + €0.10 per transaction.

The one-time setup costs are the QR holders for your tables. We have different models for every type of venue. During onboarding, we'll discuss which model suits you best.

Onboarding & Setup

Our onboarding is personal, fast, and fully taken care of from A to Z. We schedule an appointment with the owner and visit the restaurant in person. During this short visit of maximum 30 minutes: • we create your Splitty account; • we help you set up your Stripe account for payouts; • we note all your table numbers and create a floor plan so we can design the right QR holders.

After the appointment, we order the beautiful QR holders you chose during the onboarding process. Within two weeks, they'll be in your restaurant — fully in your own style and branding. Once the holders are delivered, we come by once more for a short staff training. After that, everything is ready and Splitty can go live! 🕒 30 minutes onboarding → order holders → deliver & train → ready to rock!

Just your business details, a POS system (like MplusKassa or Untill), and a Stripe account to receive payments.

Payments & Payouts

Guests scan the QR code on the table, see their orders, choose what they want to pay for, optionally add a tip, and pay directly via iDEAL, Apple Pay, or credit card.

Yes, that's exactly what Splitty is made for. Each guest can easily select their own items and pay only for their share.

Yes, after payment, the guest automatically receives a digital receipt with an overview of the paid items.

Splitty works with Stripe, one of the largest and safest payment providers in the world. You can choose whether you want to be paid out weekly or monthly. The money is transferred directly from Stripe to your account.

Yes. During checkout, guests can easily add a tip (fixed percentage or custom amount).

No. Splitty is an extra convenience option. Guests can still pay cash or with the card terminal if they prefer.

That's theoretically possible — but not a problem in practice. If someone plans to dine-and-dash, your card terminal won't stop them either. In practice, this almost never happens and we've never had any issues with it.

Operations in the Venue

As soon as a table (or part of a table) has been paid, it's immediately visible in the dashboard and possibly in the POS system. So staff knows exactly what's been paid.

Yes. Splitty automatically shows all outstanding items for the table, so guests can choose exactly what they want to pay for.

Splitty prevents double payments. Once an item is paid for, it automatically disappears from other guests' overview.

Yes. Splitty works alongside the POS system. Your staff can still manually manage or close bills as usual.

Nothing changes about your guest contact. Guests still order through the service as normal — they just pay at the end via Splitty. That means: fast, smooth, and without wait time, while maintaining personal contact.

Zero risk. Splitty never touches your money — payments go directly through Stripe, which pays you out. Even if Splitty were to stop, your money remains 100% safe with Stripe, one of the largest and most trusted payment providers in the world.

No. Splitty is a web app, not an app guests need to download or create an account for. Guests simply scan the QR code, the website opens automatically in their browser, and they can pay immediately. No hassle, no fuss.
